Haha, so not really.. just haven't had the opportunity to get around a non-work-related keyboard and type out anything lately. Work is unusually hectic, but going well.

A week from tomorrow we get to find out if we are having a boy or a girl... that's exciting news, of course. We'll be posting something here, i'm sure. I'm pretty sure that I had a blog rant stored up, but don't really remember what it was now.

I looked into doing the Google Adsense thing on my blog, but I decided that 1) I don't want to commercialize this blog so that later I can rant about how Christmas is so commercial, 2) It could turn into a tax hassle and 3) I'm not a fan of exposing my alleged readership to even more media onslaught.

So, there you go.. i'm sacrificing money for you people.. so send me some, ok?? Great.

I'm waiting.

Nothing?

Well... I guess what they say is true... you can't buy a true friend.

With all the talk about P&M going on at Grace Church lately, when I ran across this news story and subsiquent web site I couldn't pass it up.

http://www.xxxchurch.com

Yes, it's a safe link. Actually a church (found in this news story) started this site.

Give it a vist. I really think it's worthwhile for guys. Even got a peice of free software that runs on your computer and once a month it e-mails your accountability partner a list of questionable sites you've visited . "Oh i'll just close it" you say? Well, it logs everytime you manually close it too. So your accountability partner will know if you tried to circumvent the system. Why did you close it if you weren't doing anything? (It uses minimal system resources, so "It made my computer slow" doesn't work either)

This article is truly disturbing.

So now we have decided that the Bible is not true? Such relativism and "pick and choose" christianity.

It's like people are saying "Well, I like this part, but that part.. well that just doesn't mean what it says, surely! That's so politically incorrect" or "That doesn't make me feel good so it must not be from God... Oh i'm sorry I mean to use a lower case g for god.. I don't want to offend anyone."

Man this stuff is getting too frightening. I makes me sick to my stomach.

I just have to remember that God is in control.

We all probably remember the Roy Moore Ten Commandments battle in Alabama. Yesterday he announced that he will run for Governor of Alabama in the upcoming election.

I really do agree with Judge Moore on a moral level and in principle. Yes, this country was founded by Christians and the 10 commandments were and are the backbone of our judicial system.

What I don't agree with is his method. Would Jesus have violated the law in the way that Judge Moore did? Would he have made himself a criminal to prove a point while alienating everyone around him who disagrees? I can't really answer that right now. I think that perhaps going the legal and judicial route would have been more appropriate. We know it is right, nothing in the constitution says that the government can't display religious documents or monuments.

Contrary to popular belief, seperation of church and state is never mentioned in the constitution. What is mentioned is this: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

Now, I read that to mean that the Government should stay out of the church's business. Not just Christian churches but all religious institutions. I don't see anywhere in there that it says the government cannot be influenced by a religion. In fact, are not Christians being denied the "free excercise thereof" on a daily basis?

I'm off topic.

So I don't think I could vote for Judge Moore in the upcoming Ala. Gov. election even if I was there. Unfortunately I don't think the alternatives are very good either. I find that the Incumbent has really screwed things up, and the likely Democratic guy is a known mafia guy and he screwed it up worse than Riley.

Ugh, politics.

But here is my question. Do you agree with the way Roy Moore went about his Ten Commandments fight?

After a week or two of a break from work, Arkansas and blogging I have returned.

The wife and I enjoyed a few days back home with friends and family, a couple of nights of great concerts and some EXCELLENT Japaneese food. I may very well be in love with Japaneese food from Mikato Steakhouse. I'm glad my wife doesn't mind. She almost has the right to be jealous.

We stayed a couple of nights with each of our parents, and 3 nights with Josh and Rebekah. Rebekah's sister Anna and friend Rachel tagged along for Big Spring Jam, which was cool except that the ONE FREAKING SHOW I WANTED TO SEE GOT RAINED OUT!!!!!!!!!! Yep, the Charlie Daniels concert was rained out. Now, I would have saved myself a buttload of money if it hadn't have been for the CDB show. I didn't really give a flip about the rest of it. A day pass to see Third Day might have been all I would have bought.

Ok... deep breath... i'm good.

How about Rowland said "Pissed off at God" this morning in church.. funny stuff. Write your comment cards now.

Ok, i'm distracted.

Anyway, so as you can see my train of thought left the tracks a long time ago, and i've got to really get back into the swing at work this week. Lots to be done.

Chappelle's show is funny. (I'm RICK JAMES!)

That is all.
